Travel
Please share with us your travel requirements and plans. Please note that all local transport arrangements, including shuttles to and from Cape Town International Airport, the Congress venue and other venues will be paid for and arranged by SACI and Commonwealth Chemistry. You should already have been informed if you should book your travel outside the local area yourself or if you will be offered financial support with booking your flights. If you are unsure, please contact the Commonwealth Chemistry Secretariat at Secretariat@commonwealthchemistry.org before submitting your registration form to discuss this. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure you have applied for, paid and obtained the correct visa if needed. It is also your responsibility to ensure you have valid travel documents, have checked and met vaccination requirements and also that you have researched and secured any other travel permissions or requirements prior to the event. Please visit the “Delegate Information” section of the website for advice and guidance on travel.
Travel arrangements

The Congress organisers have partnered with a travel agency called the W Travel Group in Cape Town, South Africa who will be in touch with you soon to book your travel arrangements. You will be contacted by Ms Linda Rautenbach (linda@wtravelgrp.co.za). Please note that whilst we are working with a travel agency to facilitate travel arrangements for some delegates, you should only by contacted by the specified person, and they will not be arranging accommodation for delegates. If you are unsure about an e-mail or phone call you receive, please contact secretariat@commonwealthchemistry.org and do not provide any credit card details or personal information.”

Filming and photography |
Please be aware that photography and/or filming will be taking place during this event. Photographs and/or videos will be processed on the lawful basis of either legitimate interests or consent, depending on the nature of the event. If the Commonwealth Chemistry determines that it has a legitimate interest in photographing or videoing the event, you still have the right not to be photographed or videoed if you notify Commonwealth Chemistry staff and/or the professional photographer/videographer; you may be required to wear an identifiable marker throughout the event to easily show Commonwealth Chemistry staff or the professional photographer/videographer that you have declined to have your imagery taken. If the Commonwealth Chemistry determines that consent is required, the Commonwealth Chemistry will provide you with a consent form to sign, should you wish to agree to having your imagery taken.
All photographs and/or videos will be taken by the Commonwealth Chemistry (staff or member) or by a professional photographer/videographer on behalf of the Commonwealth Chemistry . All photographs and/or videos will be processed and stored by the RSC and/or the professional photographer/videographer, and may be used for editorial, promotional, marketing, media (including social media) and internal purposes of the Commonwealth Chemistry. The Commonwealth Chemistry will store and process any photographs and/or videos in accordance with its Privacy Statement, which can be found on its website - https://commonwealthchemistry.org/privacy-policy/.
The Commonwealth Chemistry retains the ownership/copyright of all photographs and/or videos. The Commonwealth Chemistry may share any photographs and/or videos with third parties such as print providers, publishers, newsletter circulars, media outlets, and others within the charity/not-for-profit sector or chemical industry.

Please note abstract submission is being managed separately to registration. You will need to submit your abstract to one of the three scientific themes through SACI’s dedicated abstract submission webpage.
