The International Symposium on “Energy Storage and Industry 4.0: Challenges and Prospects” (ENSTIN 2019) which will be held in KwaMaritane Bush Lodge, Pilanesberg National Park, South Africa from 31 July (Wed) to 2nd August (Friday) 2019.
It is predicted that Industry 4.0 (aka 4th Industrial Revolution) will, amongst others, witness the emergence of energy-hungry devices and robotics, leapfrog the widespread adoption of electric vehicles and decarbonized power utility (especially, renewable energy sources such as solar and wind for grid-tied or off-grid electricity generation)and revolutionize portable and consumer electronics and mobile technology.
ENSTIN 2019 will provide an excellent opportunity for research scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs to visit the beautiful South African Sun City and share their knowledge with energy storage stakeholders (such as Independent Power Producers (IPPs), Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), government & policy makers, utility, and entrepreneurs) on the current technical challenges and prospects for commercialization of advanced batteries and “beyond lithium-ion battery” technologies.
